An Early History of Tennis

“An Early History of Tennis in Millville, New Jersey,” is a new book that is available to purchase at the Millville Public Library. This book was written by Remy, Jake, and Ethan Aronoff. Other people who were involved with writing this story are: Bill and Nancy Gant Forester, Lee Kane, Mike Lascarides, Don Shipley, George Waltman, Betty Smith, and Bill Wenz.
This story begins by discussing how tennis first began in the United States. The book shares accounts of some of the first tennis matches that took place in Bridgeton, Millville, and Vineland. The Aronoff brothers wrote about the very first tennis team that started at Millville High School. When reading this book, one will discover that Millville tennis teams have won multiple championships. The Millville High School Varsity Tennis team started in 1948. “An Early History of Tennis in Millville, New Jersey” even has an article about the Millville High School’s 1950 Co-State Championship!
