HOW TO APPLY FOR A LIBRARY CARD

Residents of Cumberland County will receive one free library card per individual if they haven't applied for a library card yet. Patrons who are in our system can get a replacement card for $1.00 dollar. 

I. All Patrons must come into the library with proper identification to receive a library card.

II. The following identification with your current address is acceptable:

A. Unexpired NJ Driver’s License or Vehicle Registration Card
B. Unexpired NJ State Photo ID
C. A passport or foreign ID

If the patrons do not have the current address in their ID, they can bring one of the listed documents as a proof of the current address. 


A. An electric, gas, or water utility bill dated
within one month
B. Unexpired Vehicle Insurance Card
C. Current pay stub dated within one month
D. Current Lease
E. Current NJ State Insurance Card

III. Download the online form and fill it up or come to the library, and the form will be provided at the time of the registration. 

JUVENILE  FROM 1 TO 11  & YOUNG ADULT FROM 12 TO 17

I. Parent or Legal Guardian must be present to complete and sign a registration form.

II. Parent or Legal Guardian must show proper ID with current address (see above list).

III. Young Adults with a Valid NJ Driver’s License may complete and sign their own registration form.
