Ages 5 - 12

Summer Reading kick-off

Tuesday, July 1st at 5 pm

Register for summer reading!

At the kickoff you can:

  • Get a preview of the grand prize baskets
  • Learn about our upcoming in-person programs
  • Meet up with friends
  • Have some snacks

Everyone of all ages can register for Summer Reading on this night, but if you can't make it, you can come in any day after July 1st to register. It is fun for the WHOLE FAMILY. There are programs and prizes for everyone.

I Spy Bottle Craft

Tuesday, July 8th & Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 pm

Create your own DIY I-Spy Bottle using dyed rice and a few small toys and trinkets. 

Scratch Art

Tuesday, July 15th & Thursday, July 17th at 1:00 pm

Unveil the beautiful colors as you scratch the surface off of scratch art templates. Create any image you want in bright and fabulous color!

Lego Club

Tuesday, July 15th & July 29th at 6:00 pm

Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00 pm

Come build with us! We provide thousands of LEGO Bricks and other pieces so you can build the LEGO structure of your dreams!

LEGO Club is an ongoing event and will be held multiple times over the cxourse of the summer.

Community Garden

Saturday July 19th 10am - 12 noon

Sponsored by the Holly City Development Corporation, we will be celebrating summer at the local Community Garden here in the Holly City.

The Garden is at the corner of 4th St. and Vine St. in Millville

No registration Required

Cupcake Decorating

Tuesday, July 22nd & Thursday, July 24th at 1:00 pm

Cupcakes, frosting and sprinkles - do we have to say more? Oh, yes COLOR your cake! The best part about this craft? You can eat it too!

Miss Tori's Critters

Tuesday, July 29th at 1:00 pm

Miss Tori and her host of wacky critters will be visiting the library to entertain and inform everyone about the marvels of the animal kingdom.

Fiddle Key Rings

Thursday, July 31st at 1 pm

Fiddle around with us as we make this key ring craft!

Pipe Cleaner Snakes

Tuesday, August 5th & Thursday, August 7th at 1 pm

Make a new slithery friend with us by participating in this fun craft where we make serpentine pals out of pipe cleaners and beads!

Littoral Society

Tuesday, August 12th at 1 pm

"Critters, Creeks, and Coasts" Station Program put on by the American Littoral Society. Children will go around the stations to learn about their local environment. 

Hometown Heroes

Thursday, August 14th at 1 pm

Meet the real heroes of Millville! Come speak to firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical services workers from your own community!

Summer Reading Wrap-up

Wednesday, August 20th at 6 pm

All good things come to an end, but hopefully the many possibilities you have explored through the summer reading program will continue to inspire you to be alert to the world around you and ways you can make a difference. 

Join us as we celebrate the end of our summer activities with sweet treats and prizes for all.

Everyone who registered for Summer Reading is invited to this final program! Prizes will be awarded and there will be snacks! All winners must be present to claim their prize; otherwise, new winners will be selected.
